The BOA™ is a unique new Equine abdominal protection and support system. The ReWrapPro™ material stretches in all directions and the outer surface is Velcro® compatible allowing attachments anywhere to customize the sizing and greatly improve comfort and support. The BOA™ “breathes” to reduce moisture accumulation and allow air flow to the body. It is washable and reusable! The BOA™ is designed to allow access to wounds and incision sites without removal making frequent examination and treatment easy!! U.S. and Foreign Patents Pending.

The BOA™ has been used successfully to treat a broad spectrum of cases. These include:

• The support of the abdomen following colic surgery 10 days pre-partum in a TB mare. She delivered without a problem and healed successfully.
• Post-operative incisional support in multiple colic patients as well as the treatment of incisional infections with pending failure and dehiscence. All have healed successfully without hernia.
• The post-op treatment of a central Kentucky stallion following his second colic surgery (colon torsion). He recovered uneventfully and is currently covering mares without discomfort.
• Post-op support in a race filly with colic resulting to reduced healing time and quick return to racing. She has returned to racing and won her first start back in allowance company.
• Multiple foals with colic and umbilical surgeries.
• A yearling with hernia development following two colic surgeries. The filly was placed in a binder with regular tightening to reduce the size of the hernia so that it could be repaired successfully without the need for surgical mesh. She was maintained in The BOA™ post-op to support the surgery site and has healed uneventfully.
• The BOA™ is now being used successfully to deal with many difficult cases worldwide in countries including England, Ireland, South Africa, Italy, Australia, etc.
