Since 2005, Wire2Wire Vet Products has been built around a single standard: we only sell products we use on our own animals. What started as a focus on elite equine performance has grown into a multi-species operation — providing veterinarian-formulated care for horses, cattle, dogs, and cats.

The Founders

Wire2Wire was founded by two veterinarians and one of the equine industry's most respected insurance executives — people who have spent their careers in barns, at sales, and in show rings.

• Michael Cavey, DVM graduated from the College of William and Mary and the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. He operated a successful equine practice for decades while building Respite Farm into a premier Thoroughbred breeding and racing operation in Kentucky. Dr. Cavey has bred Eclipse Award-winning champions including Uncle Mo and Champagne Room and is a regular consignor at the major breeding sales in Kentucky.

• Nancy Temple, DVM is an equine surgeon who graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and completed her residency at the Marion du Pont Equine Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia. She manages day-to-day operations at Respite Farm and Wire2Wire Vet Products. In 2013 she began showing Australian Shepherds — her first Aussie, Lock, became the Top Australian Shepherd in Canada and the Number One Owner-Handled Australian Shepherd in the US. That hobby has since produced multiple American and Canadian Champions.

• Richard Hoffberger grew up on a farm in Baltimore County, Maryland, and spent his youth riding show horses and hunters before moving to steeplechase. After college he built a career in sales and marketing before founding an insurance agency specializing in farm and horse insurance. That agency grew into an equine insurance brokerage with a London operation that became one of the world's largest insurers of horses — covering everything from stakes horses to marine mammals. Richard remains an active buyer and seller at horse sales and races Thoroughbreds on the East Coast.
